GFileRunner 0.3.5 - Last for GNOME 1.4
This is most likely going to be the last version of GFileRunner for GNOME 1.4.
I have already started porting to GNOME 2.2 and will be releasing all GNOME 2.2 versions
under the new project name Velocity.
Improvements in this version include: desktop support, new image caching system,
basic drag and drop, a module/plugin system, as well as many other improvements.
As always see the ChangeLog for more information, but be warned, it's a book again!
GFileRunner 0.3.4
This GFileRunner puts all previous versions to shame. I have rewritten about
90% of the code to be more modular, cleaner, and I made some modifications in
preperation for the upcoming module subsystem.
Major improvements in this release include multiple window support, mostly-working
xfer's (cut/copy/paste), better preferences backend, a new menu generation system,
on-the-fly theme switching (mostly working), a tooltip for file information,
consistant and FAST sorting, better stability, an inline image viewer, and as
always MORE SPEED! As always see the ChangeLog for more information, but be warned,
it's a book!
GFileRunner 0.3.3
In this months GFileRunner you will happily/hopefully enjoy lots of stability.
It's not entirely stable yet as this version has fairly experimental/new
code in it. I have tested it enough to feel confident that all is well
though.
Main things to come out in this release are the highly anticipated Asyncrounous
Gdk-Pixbuf loading core for all non-cached icons (Meaning speed...lots
of speed.), and sorting. The submenus should also be more sane. Unfortunately
moving/duplicating/symlinking files (local and remote) will have to wait another
release or two. Things have been too hectic here to finish that so I just slapped
some more polish on the GUI, a new Aqua theme, and better theming in general.
All the other details of the changes in this version, as always, are in
the ChangeLog.
GFileRunner 0.3.2
Well, if you had GNOME VFS issues compiling last time, this version,
in theory, will not.
I also completely redid scripts and templates, so if you have created
some of your own, please look at the new format and convert them. Also,
if you have created some of your own scripts, send them to me.
If I deem them useful I will put them into the package, if not I will put
up an extentions page for scripts and templates. They should be much faster
using this new format.
I also, thanks to many of you, fixed multiple bugs and annoyances.
Things should be much mores stable this time around, though functionality
isn't complete, that is due to the fact that I am about to do some major
rearrangements of code to avoid bloat and promote modularity for the next
release. So to all who helped, a sincere "Thank you!"
GFileRunner 0.3.1
Okay, if you downloaded the version I posted two days ago...well nuke
it.
I had a couple of bugs in there that were just stupid bugs that shouldn't
have been overlooked. Anyhow, in the new version AA mode works again, and
all scripts work, not just ones that need a terminal. Sorry again about
the last release...
GFileRunner 0.3
After a lot of hard work I release to you, yet another worthless pile.
: )
It's not really that bad, there are a lot of new things in this release.
I am most proud of the theme support, script support, template support,
and multiple selections. Though none of those features are compeletly finished
they are mostly done and only a few touch-ups should be left. As always
you can head on over to the screenshots section for new shots of GFileRunner
or the downloads section to download it.
Site got lost...
Most of the GFileRunner website was lost the other day...gotta love those
typos! I am currently working out some of the nastier bugs and aiming towards
speed and usability.
